Recently, the China Association for Science and Technology announced the selection results of the Doctoral Program under the 2025 Youth Science and Technology Talents Cultivation Project of the China Association for Science and Technology. Gao Xianqiang, a 2023-level doctoral student supervised by Professor Xu Jing from our college, was successfully selected. This is the first time that the college has been selected for this doctoral support project.

This program is a special initiative for cultivating young scientific and technological talents established by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) for outstanding doctoral students currently pursuing their studies. It aims to comprehensively enhance their scientific research and innovation capabilities, academic vision, and sense of social responsibility through systematic training. As an important national measure to support the growth of young scientific and technological talents, the program leverages the resources of CAST and national academic societies to build platforms for academic exchanges and research support, guiding young scholars to conduct research focusing on major national needs and cutting-edge scientific and technological frontiers.
The fact that our college's students have received funding from this program is not only a testament to their personal research potential but also a full recognition of our college's "undergraduate-master-doctoral" integrated and systematic training system and its ability to cultivate top-notch innovative talents. The college will take this as an incentive to continuously optimize the whole-process education mechanism, provide a more solid platform and more comprehensive support for the growth of young talents, and contribute more outstanding innovative forces rooted in the college to China's science and technology cause.
