To thoroughly implement the guiding principles of the National Education Conference, advance the reform of classroom teaching, guide faculty members in dedicating themselves to teaching and nurturing students, and improve the quality of talent cultivation, the College held the 2026 Faculty Teaching Innovation Competition on December 16. The competition invited members of the School’s Undergraduate Teaching Advisory Committee to serve as judges and was hosted by Vice Dean Zhang Lili.

The four participating teachers presented their teaching innovation practices for the courses Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry Experiment, Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry I, and Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry II. Their respective presentation themes were: "3D Empowerment, Multidimensional Integration"; "Ideological and Political Guidance, Integration of Science and Education, Parallel Development of Teaching and Competition"; "Problem-Oriented, Project-Driven, Value-Led"; and "Four Integrations, Four Modernizations, Four Stages of Progression." Based on the existing teaching challenges of their courses, each team proposed innovative measures and summarized the corresponding outcomes. The judges conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the participants’ performance across multiple dimensions, including content, logical coherence, language expression, and stage presence, and provided detailed comments on each team’s presentation. After intense competition, Zhang Yuanhong won the First Prize, while Xu Xingliang, Li Yan, and Hou Qin were awarded the Second Prize.

Taking this competition as an opportunity, the College will further consolidate and promote outstanding achievements in teaching innovation, continuously increasing support for the development of teachers’ teaching abilities, foster a more open, inclusive, and innovative teaching culture, guide all faculty members to uphold the original aspiration of educating students, devote themselves to frontline teaching, continuously exploring new paths for talent cultivation that meet the requirements of the new era, and make greater contributions to the university’s pursuit of top-tier development and high-quality talent cultivation.
